My name is Molly, and I’m so glad you’re taking the time to get to know me and my site.  I’m a high school English teacher in Pennsylvania, the mother of two beautiful daughters, and excited to be on my blogging journey.

I grew up in a small, rural community before making the move to city life in Pittsburgh.  There, I earned my undergraduate degree in English Literature with a Children’s Literature certificate.  Immediately, I went into my graduate work, studying Secondary Education at Carlow University, also in Pittsburgh.

Though I loved my time in the city, home and family were calling my name.  So I moved to an area near where I grew up, and I teach at a similarly rural school as my alma mater.

I began my teaching career at the middle level.  For more than eight years, I honed my teaching skills in eighth grade.  Though it wasn’t necessarily where I saw myself after graduation, I wouldn’t trade those years for anything.  I learned so much about classroom management, content creation, and how to hone my skills as an educator.

But high school was calling my name. Recently, I transitioned to the high school level.  I’m still at the same district, but now I teach World Literature and British Literature to sophomores, juniors, and seniors.

Writing has always been a passion of mine, but it has played a minimal role in my life for years.  At this point in my career, I’m ready to merge my two passions together in a way that I hope will inspire you in your classroom.
